Upon dropping some Entrecards today, I noticed a blogger holding a contest. I love when I see bloggers marketing their blogs in this manner because it demonstrates they are committed to really making some money on line. I am always happy to assist anybody who has lots of dedication and motivation because making money online does require lots of work.

This blogger is offering all that subscribe to his RSS feed, post a link back to his blog, and write a post about his contest the opportunity to win $25 and 2000 Entrecards. Will I win; of course not. I am one of those that never wins anything, but I always like to try to help out when I can.

Bloggers To Watch

Blogging will be a here today, gone tomorrow scenario for some trying to make money online. However, there are times I come across a blog that has all the right components to it; these bloggers are on their way to earning some nice money. The blog I am mentioning is called Blog of an Internet Marketing Addict.

Why do I think this blog is going to make money? First, the design is eye catching. Second, this blogger has set up an autoresponder right at the top of his header. They are aware about the importance of list building. They are offering a very informative eBook in their subscriber. They are building a reader base, and they are investigating various ways to drive traffic to their blog. Also, they are using a hosted WP theme, and the search engines love WP. Also because it is a hosted blog it is showing this blogger is commited to this site.

Just as an FYI, if you are going to host a blog make sure you go for a 2-year hosting plan because Google for some reason gives 2-year hosted plan sites more kudoos. It demonstrates to them that this site is a long-term project and not a fly-by-night presentation; primarily the reason why I don't have a hosted blog because I am not really sure which way I want to go with anything at the moment, but I do know a couple things about winners, and this blog is on its way up.

Squidoo Drives Traffic

Bloggers that want to drive traffic to their sites need to utilize Squidoo. There are many ways to drive traffic and this is one of them. I see some bloggers utilizing Squidoo but they are not taking full advantage of it.

If you are going to use Squidoo, you are going to do more than just make a lens. You are going to want to insert your RSS feed into it, you are going to want to utilize the Tweeter plug-in option, you are going to want to take advantage of their monetization models, and you are definitely going to want to get involved in the communities. This program also offers directory listings just for lenses.

Because the search engines are Squidoo friendly, you are going to want to make sure you utilize keywords so the engines will know what your lens is about. Creating a lens obviously takes some time, but it is well worth your effort. You are going to want to place a Squidoo banner on your blog (they have 125 x 125) when you have completed your lens; so you see you will be directing readers of your Squidoo lens to your blog and vice versa.

For bloggers that are into Clickbank or those that are already into Squidoo, there is an eBook available for you to market called Squidoo Cash Machine. I ran into a Squidoo lens last week where the writer explained that she had purchased this eBook and applied its marketing methods and had an increase in her primary sales. She had also sold a couple of the eBooks; so you may want to take a look at it and see if this is something you want to market or personally read.

Free Viral Global Advertising for Bloggers

Free viral global advertising for bloggers and website owners is available in a new program that is getting ready to launch. This program is called The Widgeteers. If you are an EntreCard participant you will really like this. I actually think everybody who wants to drive traffic to their blogs and websites is going to enjoy this.

So what is it? First and foremost, it is free to join. What The Widgeteers program is going to do is allow you to create widget ads for yourself promoting your blog, product, services, etc. and these widgets are going to be displayed on everybody's blog or website that contains the Widgeteer code. You would also need to place a Widgeteer code on your site. This is an advertising bartering system that I think is going to be hot.

The widgets that you will display on your site are very attractive. These are not ugly ad designs. You can have them set up as an Adsense type block ad or you can set it up to appear where you would display your 125 x 125 banners. Right at this moment they have not launched and the widget code is not available for me to display on my blog, but you can get signed up and write up your ads.

Forum Marketing

Forum marketing; if you haven't ventured into it you really should; especially if you are trying to make money online. I have noted many bloggers hang out in blogging communities but not too many venture over into the make money forums. This is a way to get added exposure to your blog.

When you register to be a member of any forum, you will be given a control panel and in this control panel you can upload pictures and many other things, BUT the most important thing you can do is fill out the signature line section. This is where you are going to place your blog URL and people do look at them. Why? Because they want to check you out; they want to see what you are about especially if you are new to that particular forum community.

Some people when they first go into forums are afraid to post to them. I don't blame them. I was scared to death myself when I first started. Make sure you read the posting rules for each forum if you are new to forum marketing because you may unknowingly break a rule. I have had a hand slap before for posting in the wrong section or for doing something else I had no idea I was doing wrong. Jump around the threads of each forum and find something of interest you can post to and keep doing it. In time you will begin networking and meeting other like-minded people.

I do many types of internet marketing but by far forum marketing is my favorite because it can become very social. I have developed a circle of internet marketing friends through the forums. It is nice to have. You don't always feel so isolated when working online.

The main forum I work out of is the Money Maker Group forum or MMG forum. I am currently working with a group in the "Teambuilder Section" of the forum for the TrafficWave program. TrafficWave program supplies THE most important tool any internet marketer can have and that is an autoresponder. Any successful marketer online will have one. I recently came upon an awesome forum called Wonderful Web Women. This forum is jam packed with information on everything under the sun. It is not your typical money-making forum. This is a forum created by extremely successful internet professional who pass their knowledge onto you. This is a forum you want to get acquainted with if you really want to learn some new things in terms of blogging and online business in general.

One of the highlights for me in this forum are the rebrandable eBooks you can get get when you upgrade your account to gold. There are many hot-selling authors listed here (i.e. Rosaline Gardner, author of the Super Affiliate Handbook). Now, if you have read my previous post, you know I am into list building and you are probably getting a very good idea on how I can use this eBook as well as the other top sellers in this forum.

If you are not into list building and rebrandable eBooks, this forum is still a must visit. There is something in here for everybody. If you want top quality information on how to succeed online, you need to listen to the professionals; the ones who have truly succeed online. This is one forum where you can find them.

Bloggers Not List Building

The majority of bloggers are concerned about their RSS feed, their Technorati ranking, and their backlinks to obtain a great pagerank and receive potential traffic from the search engines. However, the one thing that I keep noticing is that bloggers are not list building. I come across many website owners as well who are not doing this. This is just as important as the above-mentioned factors if you plan to earn money online for the long-term.

As you know, not every reader of your blog or website is coming to take you up on your offer. It is important to offer that reader something other than asking them to sign for your RSS feed, give you a Digg, etc. in order to stay in contact with them. If you have an autoresponder embedded into your site, you can offer your readers a free eBook, a free sample, free EntreCards, etc. in order to have them submit their information to you. This is list building, and by doing so you are able to send out a newsletter or a HOT PRODUCT announcement to your subscribers. This is a great way to do business with people that would have exited your site and never looked back.

I have been online for a year now, and it is my opinion that Valerie Underhill is one of the most honest, shoot straight from the hip marketers you will ever come upon. The TrafficWave Profits program is free to join. In fact, all of Val Underhill's programs are free. She never charges you a penny.

I began following Val Underhill when I signed up for her
Marketing Pond program. You will be amazed with the information she reveals about online business for FREE. She just doesn't give you a little taste; she gives it all to you. She hides nothing and she knows so much. She is literally a library of knowledge in terms of online money making.

One thing I remember Val Underhill speaking to is the importance of all marketers having a core and that you extend out from that core. So what is a core? She has done that for you with her programs because she not only talks about, she creates it for you. Golden Panda and ASD Cash Generator Under Investigation

Last week it was announced that the Golden Panda Ad Builder and the ASD Cash Generator programs are temporarily closed because they are being investigated by the Attorney General's office. As of this writing, both websites have been taken down, with the Golden Panda website updating a news update post. All assets have been frozen; no funds can be moved in or out of any accounts.

The Golden Panda website is posting a news update and it appears they are trying to hold conference calls with members to advise them of current events. ASD Cash Generator had sent out an e-mail the other day advising members the reason for the investigation. They report that a member had filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office as they had not received their payment as quickly as they would have liked. They go on to advise that business will resume once the investigation has been completed and do not anticipate a prolonged downtime.

The Golden Panda Ad Builder program has only been in business for 2 weeks. It has had high activity prior to launching, which potential participants waiting to obtain memberships with money in hand. I believe the Attorney General's office has investigated the ASD Cash Generator before and did not see any problems as far as I know. I would rather have these programs investigated now versus later before more and more people begin depositing funds. I am hopeful both programs will be without problems and will have their doors open for business once again shortly.
