Upon dropping some Entrecards today, I noticed a blogger holding a contest. I love when I see bloggers marketing their blogs in this manner because it demonstrates they are committed to really making some money on line. I am always happy to assist anybody who has lots of dedication and motivation because making money online does require lots of work.
This blogger is offering all that subscribe to his RSS feed, post a link back to his blog, and write a post about his contest the opportunity to win $25 and 2000 Entrecards. Will I win; of course not. I am one of those that never wins anything, but I always like to try to help out when I can.

Bloggers To Watch
Blogging will be a here today, gone tomorrow scenario for some trying to make money online. However, there are times I come across a blog that has all the right components to it; these bloggers are on their way to earning some nice money. The blog I am mentioning is called Blog of an Internet Marketing Addict.
Why do I think this blog is going to make money? First, the design is eye catching. Second, this blogger has set up an autoresponder right at the top of his header. They are aware about the importance of list building. They are offering a very informative eBook in their subscriber. They are building a reader base, and they are investigating various ways to drive traffic to their blog. Also, they are using a hosted WP theme, and the search engines love WP. Also because it is a hosted blog it is showing this blogger is commited to this site.
Just as an FYI, if you are going to host a blog make sure you go for a 2-year hosting plan because Google for some reason gives 2-year hosted plan sites more kudoos. It demonstrates to them that this site is a long-term project and not a fly-by-night presentation; primarily the reason why I don't have a hosted blog because I am not really sure which way I want to go with anything at the moment, but I do know a couple things about winners, and this blog is on its way up.

Squidoo Drives Traffic
Bloggers that want to drive traffic to their sites need to utilize Squidoo. There are many ways to drive traffic and this is one of them. I see some bloggers utilizing Squidoo but they are not taking full advantage of it.
If you are going to use Squidoo, you are going to do more than just make a lens. You are going to want to insert your RSS feed into it, you are going to want to utilize the Tweeter plug-in option, you are going to want to take advantage of their monetization models, and you are definitely going to want to get involved in the communities. This program also offers directory listings just for lenses.
Because the search engines are Squidoo friendly, you are going to want to make sure you utilize keywords so the engines will know what your lens is about. Creating a lens obviously takes some time, but it is well worth your effort. You are going to want to place a Squidoo banner on your blog (they have 125 x 125) when you have completed your lens; so you see you will be directing readers of your Squidoo lens to your blog and vice versa.
For bloggers that are into Clickbank or those that are already into Squidoo, there is an eBook available for you to market called Squidoo Cash Machine. I ran into a Squidoo lens last week where the writer explained that she had purchased this eBook and applied its marketing methods and had an increase in her primary sales. She had also sold a couple of the eBooks; so you may want to take a look at it and see if this is something you want to market or personally read.

Free Viral Global Advertising for Bloggers
Free viral global advertising for bloggers and website owners is available in a new program that is getting ready to launch. This program is called The Widgeteers. If you are an EntreCard participant you will really like this. I actually think everybody who wants to drive traffic to their blogs and websites is going to enjoy this.
So what is it? First and foremost, it is free to join. What The Widgeteers program is going to do is allow you to create widget ads for yourself promoting your blog, product, services, etc. and these widgets are going to be displayed on everybody's blog or website that contains the Widgeteer code. You would also need to place a Widgeteer code on your site. This is an advertising bartering system that I think is going to be hot.
The widgets that you will display on your site are very attractive. These are not ugly ad designs. You can have them set up as an Adsense type block ad or you can set it up to appear where you would display your 125 x 125 banners. Forum Marketing
Forum marketing; if you haven't ventured into it you really should; especially if you are trying to make money online. I have noted many bloggers hang out in blogging communities but not too many venture over into the make money forums. This is a way to get added exposure to your blog.
When you register to be a member of any forum, you will be given a control panel and in this control panel you can upload pictures and many other things, BUT the most important thing you can do is fill out the signature line section. This is where you are going to place your blog URL and people do look at them. Why? Because they want to check you out; they want to see what you are about especially if you are new to that particular forum community.
Some people when they first go into forums are afraid to post to them. I don't blame them. I was scared to death myself when I first started. Make sure you read the posting rules for each forum if you are new to forum marketing because you may unknowingly break a rule. I have had a hand slap before for posting in the wrong section or for doing something else I had no idea I was doing wrong. Jump around the threads of each forum and find something of interest you can post to and keep doing it. In time you will begin networking and meeting other like-minded people.
I do many types of internet marketing but by far forum marketing is my favorite because it can become very social. I have developed a circle of internet marketing friends through the forums. It is nice to have. You don't always feel so isolated when working online.
The main forum I work out of is the Money Maker Group forum or MMG forum. I am currently working with a group in the "Teambuilder Section" of the forum for the TrafficWave program. TrafficWave program supplies THE most important tool any internet marketer can have and that is an autoresponder. Any successful marketer online will have one. Get your toes wet in forum marketing; it will gain your blog new exposure and you could end up making some new online friends at the same time. Yes, I know the picture of the dog has nothing to do with forum marketing, but I thought it was cute and just stuck it in there.
